Sometimes we get all excited to take on new task, new assignments, new journeys. We forget as Christians we are in a war, a spiritual war. We don’t have to start any wars, we are already in one. As soon as you say yes to Jesus, you are signed up! No fear we already won. But we need to be wise and put on our Armor as described in Ephesian 6.
I will break down this armor so you may be better equip.
With the belt of truth (vs 14) May your truth rule in my heart and be in my mind and on my lips today.
With the breastplate of righteousness (vs14) Apart from you there is no righteousness, but through Jesus I have been “born again” and made righteous (right) in Your sight. May I live as a righteous person today.
With feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospelof peace (vs 15). May I reflect the Gospel in my words and actions, that through me, with every encounter i have with others, may they be drawn one step closer to You.
With the Shield of Faith (vs 16. May I take You at Your word concerning promises about the present and the future, Promises of everlasting Love, Abundant life, and so much more that we could ever imagine mentioned in Ephesian 3:20.
With the Helmet of Salvation (vs 17). Remind methat nothing can separate me from Your Love and that I’ve been saved by Grace. In your Grace, help me to say “no” to all ungodliness ad wordly passions, and live a self controlled, upright, and godly life. as mentioned in Titus 2:12,13.
And the with The Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God (vs 17). May your Holy Spirit reign in my life and bring to my mind just the right Bible verses to be in my heart on on my lips at the right time. For my strength or others. May I be “filled with the Spirit” and ready with the Word of God as you were Jesus when you were walking this earth and tempted by the devil. You were victorious and so will I.
Finally, keep me in an attitude of prayer (vs 18). Remind me to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions”. Help me to be alert and always praying for other sisters and brothers in Christ; to be joyful and to give thanks in everything as mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
PRAY ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Put on the armor with this prayer Paul’s explains in Ephesians 6:10-18 using Gods Word, the sword of the Spirit, as we struggle, “not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Remember: God our Father doesn’t send us out unequipped. We have everything we need in Jesus Christ. We just need to Believe and God with boldness and confident that YOU ARE THE CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH GOD AND THE BATTLE TRULY IN THE END BELONGS TO HIM. WE DO ALL THAT WE CAN AND THEN STAND FIRM ON HIM!
Have a Beautiful Day, because You know who’s you are.
Love In Christ Always, Sophia Daughter of the King.
